Meta experienced connectivity issues impacting outbound WhatsApp Cloud message delivery. During this time, customers may have observed an increase in rejected messages with the error code “1000 throttled”.

Root Cause

Meta experienced connectivity disruptions that resulted in outgoing messages via Whatsapp Cloud API being rejected.

Restoration Actions

Normal service resumed when Meta resolved the connectivity issues issues on their platform.

Resolved

We confirmed from Meta team that the delivery degradation affecting WhatsApp Messages has been resolved.

The Whatsapp messages services were impacted from [05-Jun-2024 00:11] UTC until [05-Jun-2024 00:36] UTC.

Other channels from Messages API have not been impacted.

All services have been restored.
